MDF Bare & Coated

MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) is an ideal substitute for wood. They are divided into MDF bare & coated (natural or artificial veneer).

It consists of hardwood microparticles, resin, water and paraffin wax. It is manufactured in panels of various dimensions. It is denser than chipboard, and is widely used in furniture.

  • MDF is cut, drilled and screwed just like solid wood.
  • Its surface can be processed with a router or CNC, while milling and grinding can be applied to the edges.
  • Connections are durable.
  • It is easily and satisfactorily painted.

Bare MDF

Bare MDF is ideal for constructions that will receive paint as their surfaces are smooth and require minimal treatment for good adhesion of the paint. Lacquer paints can be applied as well as any other paints such as acrylic, chalk or even oil paint.

Usages:

  • Furniture making: furniture frames – kitchen – wardrobe.
  • Interior construction: doors, shelves and more.
  • Interior decorations.

Coated MDF

Coated MDF are also widely used as their surfaces are coated with a film (layer) of natural or artificial wood (veneer) such as beech, oak, anigre, etc. They are used more when we want to have surfaces that have the texture and pores of wood. They are painted with varnishes so that we simply have a color change in the wood of the surface or with lacquer so that the visual effect shows the texture of the wood and not a straight effect.

Usages:

  • Furniture: Kitchen Doors - Wardrobes.
  • Internal constructions
